Beginning
Teacher
As India is
emerging as a preferred destination for the global workforce,
what we teach and how we teach are getting transformed.
Technology and global cultures are the new buzzwords.
But somewhere teacher education seems to be caught in
a time warp. We expect our teachers to teach in a way
we don't teach them in our colleges of education!
The
series of workshops in the Beginning Teacher
series addresses the need of young teachers to make
a smooth transition from formal degrees to the real
time challenges of teaching. The entire series is pegged
to hands - on practice.
Schools
approach us after recruiting for the new year and we
take these freshers through an intensive learning loop
that begins with getting to know your institution, school
policies, Child Rights, writing lesson plans, ICT to
teacher professionalism.
All workshops will be practice based.
Some
of the Objectives
- Make the career transition
for beginning teachers meaningful and smooth.
- Sensitise the teachers to
teach culturally, linguistically, and academically
diverse group of learners
- Update them with contemporary

- Provide sustained support
to the teachers through coaching and mentoring

and lower staff turnover ratio.
